Haul

So I'm back *dances of yay ensue*, and came back with a small haul, because really, when you are driving 5.5 hours to the airport and back, and that's without the rest of the traveling, there will be hauls.

My haul!

The lipsticks that are out of their boxes were actually Back 2 MAC, so I really did less damage than it looks like.  I barely remembered to grab my empties before I left, and have been meaning to take them for a while, so I didn't care about the extra baggage.

What I got:
Cornflower Pigment Sample (Thursday was the first day for counters to carry some of the pigments as a permanent thing, so I was able to pick this up)
Syrup Lipstick
Fast Play Lipstick
Lustering Lipstick (Originally supposed to be Impassioned, but they were sold out)
Cyber Lipstick
MAC 130 Brush
shu uemura P Brown 820 Eyeshadow
Givenchy 17 Island Lagoon Eyeshadow

That last one really surprised me, since I didn't think I would like it that much, and it was expensive for an eyeshadow, but I really loved the texture, and the shade when mixed.

Glad to be back.  Hopefully I'll be getting my own smartphone soon, so maybe (I say maybe) that won't happen again.  Just realized that the phone I am looking at has more megapixels than my camera... sheesh.

Haul Post: Giorgio Armani Lip Wax

My samples on the left, #2 and #7

So my order from the 20% off sale arrived, and of course, I am in love!  I love how Giorgio Armani gives out 2 samples per order.  That's a great way to get people to buy try something they normally wouldn't, and possibly buy it if they like it.  For something as expensive as their foundations, this is a big deal.

I only picked up 2 more lipwaxes, bringing my total up to 4 now.  I love the formula so much, someday I might actually own them all, but for now, I'm happy with what I have.  I picked up the colors #2 (Antique Rose) and #6 (Deep Chianti).  I have heard a lot of people say that #2 looked odd on them, but it looks great on me.  It must be the opposite of the effect that makes most roses look bad on me, and good on other people, hehe.  Deep Chianti is a stunning red, and I can see why so many people raved about it.

Swatches!  Please excuse the quality, it is hard to get good lighting where I live.  The colors are in reverse numeric order, so #7, #6, #4, and #2 for both pictures.

In shade (for some reason it won't let me have this horizontal, so the colors are 7, 6, 4, 2 downwards):

In sunlight:

Hope you enjoyed the makeup porn ^_^!.

NYX Haul from CherryCulture.com

So last week I read Anastasia's post about how CherryCulture was having a 20% off Back to School sale.  Seeing as how I have never purchased NYX before (seeing as it is impossible to find within a 75 mile radius of me) I decided to spend a large chunk of change for some decent makeup.  I have never bought NYX myself, but too many people say they are wonderful (especially their round lipsticks), I had to try them out (and at $2 each, without the discount, and free shipping... hehehe).

So, what did I get?  Waaaayyy too much.

Round Lipgloss in Apricot
Jumbo Eyepencil in Yogurt
Powder Blush in Angel, Taupe, and Chocolate Moose
Mosaic Powder in Highlight
Cream Blush in Red Cheek
Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige, Beige Pearl, Lollipop, and Smokey Look
Single Eyeshadow in White Pearl and Dune
Eyeshadow Trio in Beanie/Red Bronze/Red Bean
Runway Palettes in Versus and Strike a Pose
And the major fun: Round Lipsticks in Honey, Watermelon, Vitamin, B52, Harmonica, Penelope, Snow White, Pumpkin Pie, Hebe, Ceto, Poseidon, Opal, Bruised, Violet Ray, Almost Black, Iced Lavender

In the above picture, I tried to put everything in the order that I wrote down.

Since I live in California, the order took 3 days to get here, with their handling, which is awesome!  I am totally buying more from them.

So, the only thing that came damaged is Iced Lavender, which I accept, since it is still usable.  The tube is a little messed up, and it opens too easily, so no going in a bag for this one, but for how cheap it was, who really cares, hehe.
